Website use and security
When you visit the website, we may process technical data such as your IP address and information about your visit. This is needed to operate the website, resolve problems and prevent misuse.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a usable, secure website. Technical service providers may process only the information needed to provide those services.
Retention
We do not keep technical data longer than reasonably necessary for security, maintenance and troubleshooting. The exact period can differ by type of record and is limited where possible through automatic deletion or replacement. Contact us if you need information about a particular request or record.
Email contact
If you email us, we receive the name and email address you provide, your message and any attachments. We use this information to handle your request, based on our legitimate interest in correspondence or, where applicable, a legal obligation.
We keep correspondence for as long as necessary for the request, follow-up and any applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Our email service provider may process data to deliver and secure email.
Automatic language selection
When you first visit the homepage without a saved language preference, we may broadly estimate your country from your IP address to choose an initial language: Dutch for the Netherlands, Korean for South Korea and English for other or unknown countries. Direct language links and manual language choices always remain available.
Automatic language selection is only for convenience and stores only the selected language code in a cookie.
Cookies during a normal visit
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. On jeong.nl we use functional cookies to remember the language you choose:
- Language-preference cookie: stores only the language you choose. It expires 180 days after being set; choosing a language again resets this period.
- Language session cookie: helps the website show the language you chose during your visit. It is a session cookie.
These cookies are needed for the language function. Dutch rules do not require prior consent for them, but do require information about their use.[1] We therefore do not show a consent popup for these cookies. Administrators who log in may also receive functional login and preference cookies.
Tracking and your cookie choices
The feature that attributes orders to visit sources is disabled. We will not add non-exempt analytics or marketing cookies without first updating this notice and requesting consent before they are used.
Use the language selector to choose Nederlands, English or 한국어. You can inspect, delete or block jeong.nl cookies through your browser settings. Deleting them can trigger automatic language selection on your next homepage visit; blocking them can stop your preference being remembered.
Your privacy rights
Where the GDPR provides these rights in your circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
